ArmInfo. The epidemic situation with COVID-19 in Armenia remains tense. In order to reduce the risk of the spread of the disease, it was decided to extend the quarantine in the country until July 11 of this year.
According to the information, the decision was made also considering a recommendation of WHO on the danger of a third wave of epidemic growth, taking into account the experience of such countries like England, Spain, Germany, France, Russia. Quarantine rules will apply at all checkpoints on the state border of the country.
It is noted that, taking into account the current epidemic situation in Armenia, certain measures have been taken to mitigate the measures and restrictions applied during quarantine. In particular, it is noted that non- citizens of the Republic of Armenia can cross the border to enter the Republic of Armenia through checkpoints across the land border, if they enter the territory of Armenia with a document confirming the absence of a COVID-19 diagnosis for polymerase chain reaction, issued no later than 72 hours beforehand. Also, sampling is carried out not only at the checkpoint of the air borders, as before, but also on land borders and the self-isolation mode is carried out until a negative PCR result is obtained. The department reminds that quarantine restrictions on holding mass events have been canceled, including the limitation on the number of participants in public events (previously 60 participants) and events in closed rooms has been lifted.
