ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani side has violated and continues to violate a number of key provisions of the trilateral statement. Anna Naghdalyan, press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, said this, answering Interfax questions.
In particular, she said that according to the first paragraph of the tripartite statement, the parties should stop at their positions as of November 10 and end hostilities. Meanwhile, as Naghdalyan continued, the Azerbaijani side, more than a month after the establishment of the ceasefire, carried out military operations in the direction of the settlements of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd in the Hadrut region of Artsakh, as a result of which there are human losses and Armenian servicemen were captured.
At the same time, Naghdalyan noted that the Azerbaijani side still does not fully comply with the 8th clause of the trilateral statement, according to which the exchange of prisoners of war, hostages and other detainees should take place. "As a result, Armenian prisoners of war and hostages continue to be kept in Azerbaijan. Moreover, the Azerbaijani side is initiating criminal cases against Armenian prisoners of war and at the highest level represents them as terrorists, trying to prevent the full implementation of the trilateral statement of November 9," the press secretary said, stressing that the cessation of violations by the Azerbaijani side of the statement of November 9 is necessary for full implementation of the trilateral statement.
