ArmInfo. A parliament elected under the current conditions as a result of early elections will initially fail. A similar opinion was expressed to ArmInfo by one of  the leaders of the social-democratic party "Citizen's Decision" Suren  Sahakyan.

"In the current situation, we generally oppose the idea of holding  early elections. This position is due to a number of circumstances.  It is necessary to understand that the election campaign against the  background of the defeatist psychological state of voters will turn  into a 12-day, and meaningless, search for heroes and traitors. All  this will be accompanied by clashes and even victims. After the war,  the citizens have accumulated a considerable amount of weapons -  first it is necessary to disarm, "he said.

The politician considers the absence of ideological political forces  in the country to be another important obstacle on the way of holding  early elections. Against this background, early elections will  naturally be devoid of any ideological content. That, according to  Sahakyan's forecasts, will lead to the victory of the revanchists who  come out with a priori impracticable promises.

Meanwhile, the new government, according to the policy, should have  the ability to appease, and not whip up passions, as its predecessors  did. At the same time, if Nikol Pashinyan remains in power, it will  be very difficult to convince the public of the government's proper  work. Lack of reforms will lead to a change of government. Carrying  out painful reforms in the absence of public feedback, too.

The current government, according to Sahakyan's estimates, did not  meet the hopes of society and, accordingly, failed even before the  war. In the post-war period, however, the disorientation of society,  the loss of the latest guidelines and the resulting problems have  reached alarming proportions. Seen in this light, society needs a  leader who can offer a new beginning. A leader, whose main  characteristic will be loyalty to the idea and inexhaustible faith in  the possibility of its implementation.

"Meanwhile, speaking of the new government, it is usually described  as technocratic. I very much doubt the effectiveness of this  approach. We believe that the election of a neutral head of this  government will be a more viable option for overcoming the current  crisis. This person will not be nominated in the next elections.  Ideally, he will abandon his further political career. The latter  will increase the level of public confidence and will be acceptable  for the opposing political camps. Only after the situation stabilizes  and a number of reforms are implemented, it will be possible to talk  about early parliamentary elections, "Sahakyan summed up.
