ArmInfo.On October 29, RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi, who arrived in Yerevan on a working visit.
According to the press service of the RA MFA, during the meeting the interlocutors exchanged views on the situation in the zone of the Karabakh conflict, resulting from the war unleashed by Azerbaijan, as well as on regional security issues. Parties expressed concern the transfer of international terrorists to the region from the Middle East, considering this a serious threat to the entire region.
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stressed that Armenia understands Iran's sensitivity to new threats to the regional security, while pointing out the role of Iran in maintaining regional stability and peace.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran presented his country's approaches to finding a way out of the situation and establishing a ceasefire. In this context, the RA Foreign Minister noted that Iran's approaches to the Karabakh conflict will be studied in detail
In turn, the RA Foreign Minister informed the interlocutor about the upcoming meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on October 30 in Geneva and the continuation of work in this format.
