ArmInfo. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that he did not rule out the possibility of meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Moscow, but, according tothe latter, he did not receive an invitation from his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to visit the Russian capital.
"Yes, it is possible. Such meetings have taken place before. Everything depends on the agenda. Unfortunately, the prospects for a peaceful settlement of the conflict with the current government of Armenia are very distant," Aliyev said in an interview with the Japanese newspaper Nikkei, quoted by RIA Novosti. According to the head of Azerbaijan, he did not receive an invitation from Putin to visit Moscow.
"I have repeatedly visited Moscow at the invitation of President Putin, even several times a year. So these high-level contacts are a common occurrence between partner countries and neighbors. President Putin has also visited Azerbaijan many times," Aliyev said.
