ArmInfo.Only a change in Turkey's position on Nagorno- Karabakh can push Azerbaijan to end hostilities. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with Reuters. The text of the interview was published by the press service of the RA government.
Nikol Pashinyan accused Turkey of trying to violate the ceasefire and infiltrate the South Caucasus in accordance with its ambitions.
"I am convinced that until Turkey changes its position, Azerbaijan will not stop hostilities," Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister also said that prior to the signing of the ceasefire agreement, Turkey had already stated that Azerbaijan should not cease hostilities. After signing the document, the Turkish Foreign Minister called Azerbaijan, which, in fact, was an order not to stop hostilities under any circumstances. "Turkey came to the South Caucasus to continue its expansionist policy, the same one that it is pursuing in the Mediterranean region with regard to Greece and Cyprus, as well as with respect to Libya, Syria and Iraq. The head of the Armenian government stressed that Turkey's plans to move to the north, east and southeast are well known. The problem is that the Armenians in the South Caucasus are the last obstacle in the way of this expansionist policy.
"Turkey is not resolving the Karabakh conflict, it is trying to continue its policy of the Armenian Genocide, because in the South Caucasus, Armenia, the Armenians are the last obstacle to its expansion to the north, east and southeast, implementing the policy of the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century," Nikol said Pashinyan.
"The entire South Caucasus will become Syria, this fire will very quickly spread to the north, south, east," said Nikol Pashinyan.
