At the same time, Armenia bypassed Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and neighboring Iran.
The leaders of the global hunger rating are Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile and China, and the outsiders are Chad, Timor-Leste, Madagascar, Haiti and Mozambique.
Countries with indicators from 0 to 10 points are characterized by a "low level of hunger", from 10 to 19 - "an average level of hunger", from 20 to 34.9 points - "a serious level of hunger", from 35 to 49.9 points - "a dangerous level hunger ", from 50 points and above -" extremely dangerous level of hunger. "The index was calculated on the basis of experts' assessments on a scale from 0 to 100 points, where 0 is the best result and 100 is the worst.
The goal of the hunger index is a large-scale study of global problems, increasing the level of attention to the problem of hunger, especially in those countries where it is an urgent challenge. The GHI is published annually by the non-governmental organizations ConcernWorldwide and Welthungerhilfe. Estimates are calculated using a three-step process that draws on available data from a variety of sources. Meanwhile, independent analysts doubt the objectivity of the "index", if only because the "leaders" of the index, in some incomprehensible, apparently politically motivated way, got into Belarus.
