ArmInfo. Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital and Spitak Medical Center, previously involved in the fight against COVID-19, are returning to their normal work. As press secretary of the RA Ministry of Health Alina Nikoghosyan said on her Facebook page, the department of the Martuni Medical Center, which served patients with coronavirus, is also being closed.
"A total of 67 patients from three institutions were transported to Yerevan, where they will continue to receive the necessary medical care. Part of the Martuni Medical Center and the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital, if necessary, will serve as a triage center (reception, diagnosis and transportation of patients)>, Nikoghosyan said, adding that at the moment, only the Kapan MC has the corresponding department from the regional medical centers.
To recall, hospital capacities in the republic have been strengthened in connection with the situation with the coronavirus. After some stabilization of the situation, it was decided that regional medical institutions that have joined the treatment of patients with COVID-19 will return to their normal work schedule. In total, 43,781 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 37,722 people recovered, 879 died. At the moment, 4912 patients are receiving actual treatment.
