ArmInfo. At the initiative of Armenia's President Armen Sarkissian and with the assistance of the RA Government, the STARMUS VI International Festival of science and arts is scheduled to be held in Armenia on September 6 to September 11, 2021. This was reported by the presidential press service.
President Sarkissian proposed holding the festival in Armenia a year ago, during the STARMUS 5th festival in Zurich. In 2020, among the guests and participants of the event, Nobel Prize winners, famous scientists and musicians are expected. STARMUS will also be an important step towards the development of tourism, especially given the current downturn in the service sector due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is noted that the existing tourist infrastructure makes it possible to ensure the proper level of reception of guests and participants of the festival, who by their presence can become an additional incentive for further increasing the tourist flow. During the meetings with the heads of a number of tourism organizations, Sarkissian noted that companies representing the sector should also become active participants in this process.
