ArmInfo. Anti-epidemic measures in the fight against coronavirus will continue. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this on August 6 at a regular meeting of the RA Government.
The Prime Minister noted that, despite the easing of the tension in the epidemiological situation, the rates for new cases continue to remain high. Meanwhile, as it was emphasized, the detection rate of COVID-19 has also increased in the republic. Pashinyan pointed out that the strategy for combating the coronavirus has changed, and the Ministry of Health, on its own initiative, is conducting appropriate tests among risk groups and workers of various economic entities. According to him, this approach will also provide an opportunity to overcome the epidemic.
The PM informed that according to the latest data, 68 patients are in critical condition, 300 patients are in serious condition. Peak rates for extremely severe cases of coronavirus were recorded on July 8 - 131 cases, and for severe cases on July 9 -572. <The numbers have decreased, but our analysis shows that we were able to record such a decline mainly due to the introduction of the rule of mandatory wearing of a mask. Thus, anti-epidemic measures, including wearing masks, hand hygiene and social distance, must be continued, "he said.
For his part, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan noted that with regard to the coronavirus, there has been a steady decline in the number of citizens turning to polyclinics and hospitals for medical reasons. Meanwhile, if, for example, at an enterprise, in a bank, in a supermarket, only one case of COVID-19 is detected, then the Ministry of Health conducts testing of all employees in order not to miss the "hidden" cases of the disease. "So, we conducted tests in one of the mental health centers among 350 people and identified 25 asymptomatic cases of coronavirus," Torosyan said.
In total, 39,819 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 31,556 people recovered, 772 died. At the moment, 7,263 patients are receiving actual treatment
