"We have no other mechanism to ensure compliance with the rules, with the exception of the state of emergency," Commandant Deputy Prime Minister and State of Emergency Commandant Tigran Avinyan said, responding to a question from a member of the "Bright Armenia" (<Lusavor Hayastan>) faction Edon Marukyan during a meeting of the parliamentary commission Armenia.
<The state of emergency can be prolonged until the threat due to which it was declared is not eliminated. And the virus is still spreading not only in Armenia, but throughout the world>, he noted.
The Commandant explained that if there had not been a decision to extend the state of emergency, all the restrictions that were imposed by the Armenian government and the Commandant's Office could not be called upon to comply. In this vein, he pointed out restrictions regarding the freedom of movement of citizens, personal data, etc.
At the same time, Avinyan recalled that the concept of easing restrictions will be introduced into the RA law on the state of emergency, which generally indicates the positive expectations of the authorities in connection with the situation.
To recall, today, during an extraordinary meeting of the Armenian government, it was decided to extend the state of emergency for another 30 days - until 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 12 this year. The Cabinet
