ArmInfo. Armenia decided to start discussions around the coronavirus vaccine with both manufacturers and potential buyers - UNICEF and WHO. This was announced by RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan at a July 7 press conference.
To date, work on the development of a vaccine against coronavirus is underway in many countries around the world. According to the minister, about 200 vaccines are currently being developed, 20 of which have a chance to become the final product. As was noted, scientific progress can reduce the period of clinical trials, which previously stretched for years. Meanwhile, a real race has already unfolded between some countries for the right to possess the not yet approved vaccines for coronavirus, and the lion's share of these negotiation processes takes place under the heading <secret>.

These organizations can immediately purchase a batch of vaccines for, for example, 100 countries, and evenly distribute them>, - said Torosyan. The Minister emphasized that only the best vaccines in the world have always been used in Armenia. He also noted that vaccination is the most safe medical intervention.
In total, 29,285 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 16,907 people recovered, 503 died. Currently, 11711 patients are receiving actual treatment.
