ArmInfo. Nairi Insurance Company calls on the media to refrain from disseminating unverified information and not to mislead the public. This was noted in an explanation issued by the Nairi Insurance Press Service on June 23 regarding an article in the <Zhamanak> newspaper entitled "Nairi Insurance, owned by Kocharyans, filed a lawsuit against the SRC."
In this regard, Nairi Insurance considers it necessary to clarify the situation in order to avoid inappropriate speculation. In particular, the article notes that last year the SRC drew up an act against the Nairi Insurance Company in the amount of about 1 billion drams, which was not appealed until the last moment. "The change of the measure of restraint against Kocharyan inspired the Kocharyan family, instilled additional confidence, and they went on the counterattack," the newspaper writes.
"In this regard, we consider it necessary to clarify: Yes, the SRC made an illegal act against the company in the amount of 1 billion drams. And the company made a decision to appeal it last year. When submitting the appeal, the lawyers team of Nairi Insurance followed the relevant procedures, observing all deadlines. The complaint was filed not "in the last minutes of the last day," as the newspaper claims, but earlier than the deadline. This is a purely legal process with the appropriate deadlines and steps, "the IC Nairi Insurance stated in an explanatory statement. The concluding part of the explanation reads: "Once again an attempt is made to link the activities of the 'Nairi Insurance' insurance company with political processes and / or to give it political background. We urge the media to comprehensively and fully investigate published topics, to refrain from disseminating unverified information that misleads the public. "
