ArmInfo.Security threats to the CSTO countries are growing in all directions. The CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas told journalists following the results of a meeting of the organization's Council of Foreign Ministers held in an online format today.
According to Stanislav Zas, the meeting addressed issues about the state and prospects of development of the international and regional situation and its impact on the security of the CSTO member states.
"All the heads of delegations spoke on this topic. And if we summarize all the assessments that were made, we need to note that there is an increase in security threats to the CSTO member states in all dimensions and in all directions. This is not some kind of artificial dramatizing or repetition of assessments. Unfortunately, these are the realities in which we live, and this should be taken into account in the activities of the CSTO, "said the CSTO Secretary General.
According to him, one of the conclusions of the discussion was that in the current situation, the CSTO states should strengthen cooperation with other countries and international organizations in order to ensure security, in particular with the CIS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
