ArmInfo. As of May 20, 270 children and adolescents under the age of 18 were tested positive for coronavirus. RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan announced this at a May 21 press conference, adding that only two of them were diagnosed  with pneumonia, moreover, in a mild form.

In addition, 23 pregnant women have also been infected, but nothing  threatens their life, as Torosyan emphasized. In total, 375 medical  facility employees (including technical personnel) were tested   positive for COVID-19.  Speaking about general statistics, the  minister informed that according to the latest data, 135 patients  with coronavirus are in serious condition, 65 are in extremely  serious condition, and 15 are connected to the ventilator.  Torosyan  noted that, as was predicted, the number of cases is growing along  with the growth of new cases patients in serious and extremely  serious condition, as well as patients who need mechanical  ventilation. <For now, we can confront this situation>, the minister  emphasized.  Once again, Torosyan urged citizens to comply with  anti-epidemiological rules: wear masks in public places, maintain  social distance, and so on. Moreover, as noted, the state will take  the necessary steps to monitor the implementation of these measures.  The minister also informed that a record number of tests for  coronavirus had been carried out yesterday -1751. Prior to this,  according to Torosyan, an average of 1000 tests were conducted in a  daily context. The Minister recalled that tests for coronavirus are  carried out exclusively for medical reasons, when, for example, there  are disturbing symptoms, or a person is of the circle of contacts of   a confirmed virus carrier.  

In total, 5606 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic,  2581 people recovered, 70 died. Currently, 2928 patients are  receiving actual treatment.
