According to the source, the Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan, who was the first to make a report, noted that an anti-corruption committee was added to the bodies authorized to initiate disciplinary proceedings as part of the judicial reforms.
The Disciplinary Committee of Judges has been replaced by the Disciplinary Committee of Judges on Ethics, which in addition to judges also includes lawyers nominated by non-governmental organizations. There is a new procedure for evaluating the performance of judges. The procedure for terminating the powers of a judge on the basis of a disciplinary offense was clarified. Compensation was given to victims and relatives of the events of March 1, 2008 in Yerevan. In particular, 56 applications were satisfied, the amount of 630 million drams was issued. A balanced structure has been introduced for assessing the image of judges of the Constitutional Court and candidates for judges of the Supreme Judicial Council.
