ArmInfo.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia called on its citizens abroad, who were not able to leave due to the restrictions introduced, to maintain constant contact with the Armenian diplomatic missions in the host country.
So, in a statement by the Armenian Foreign Ministry, in particular, it says: "In the fight against a new type of coronavirus at the global level, various countries have limited and continue to restrict access to their airspace and air traffic, as a result, the organization of the return of our citizens to Armenia has become much more complicated In this regard, we urge our citizens to check in advance for transit flights.
It should be added that in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, regular flights and charter flights from Russian airports to airports of foreign countries and in the opposite direction will no longer be used to return flights of foreign citizens to foreign countries (the so-called transit flights). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Armenia collect data and questions from Armenian citizens to assess and identify opportunities for support. The diplomatic missions of the Republic of Armenia are in constant contact with our citizens who are abroad, steps are being taken to resolve issues raised by citizens, as far as possible.
We urge the citizens of the Republic of Armenia who are abroad to keep in touch with the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Armenia in the field so that the diplomatic staff can support them.
We again call on our citizens abroad, in the event of impossibility of returning to their homeland during this period, to comply with the instructions and measures of the host country adopted to combat coronavirus, to remain calm and at the same time soberly assess the situation. "
