He added that out of 1 billion allocated for the repair of schools and other educational institutions, only 250 million drams were completed. "Of the 177 million allocated for the modernization of the irrigation system, only 50 million, that is 28%, was spent. Of the 132 million allocated for the development of tourism, 20 million, or 15%, were implemented. The budget allocated for the creation of new pedestrian crossings amounted to 22%. In the field of healthcare, budget expenditures amounted to 78%, in the field of environmental protection - 68%. In the field of construction of apartments and the provision of utilities - 61%, "said Sargsyan.
However, Sargsyan assured the residents of the capital that everything will be fine in the future. According to the deputy mayor, the pilot program for the replacement of elevators continues, moreover, in 2020, support for medical and educational institutions will increase, new programs in the field of road works will be implemented. In his turn, First Deputy Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan added that this year the budget expenditures allocated for kindergartens will increase by 1 billion drams, which will make it possible to repair 28 kindergartens. In turn, Deputy Mayor Tigran Virabyan touched the tourism sector, noting that 15% of budget execution is due to the fact that at the moment Yerevan was not ready to participate in many international tourism exhibitions and festivals due to the lack of presentation print and video materials.
It should be noted that, as ArmInfo previously reported, the budget revenues of Yerevan in 2020 will amount to 107 billion 120 million drams. Expenditures will be approximately at the level of 116 billion 233 million drams. The deficit of the city budget will be 9 billion 113 million drams.
