ArmInfo. The official positions of Armenia and Georgia on the conflict settlement have been agreed. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this from the rostrum. He noted that during the visit to Georgia, tension in the region became one of the main topics. "We discussed ways that will allow us to reduce this tension. Both sides are interested in this, and we tried to outline points in which cooperation will help us reduce tensions in the region," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Pashinyan said that Georgia is a country that has conflicts, and their official position is that all conflicts should be resolved peacefully. "In this approach, our positions converge, and this is a great opportunity for our cooperation," he stressed.
The prime minister said that the visit was very successful and thanked the Georgian side for their cooperation. Due to the fact that the possibility of developing the Armenian-Georgian strategic cooperation was discussed, despite the fact that both countries have different foreign policy vectors, Pashinyan noted:
"The Armenian and Georgian peoples have lived in the same region for centuries for peace and harmony. There is no enmity between us, since there were no major conflicts. Speaking of strategic cooperation, we had in mind to plan our strategic cooperation for the next 100 years, "the prime Minister said.
It should be noted that from March 3 to 4, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan paid a two-day official visit to Georgia. During the visit, Pashinyan met with his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Gakharia, President Salome Zourabichvili, Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze and Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.
