ArmInfo.Based on the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to close land and air communications with the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) in connection with detected cases of Coronavirus infection, the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia (SRC) established the procedure for organizing ground communications. This is stated in the official statement of the RSC.
By order of the chairman of the SRC, "Agarak terminal" will become a warehouse for temporary storage of goods and parking of vehicles imported from Iran.
In addition, it is planned to organize the registration of customs transit declarations and customs control of goods imported through the Meghri checkpoint, as far as possible by limiting contact with Iranian drivers, namely, to organize the filling out and submission of declarations without involving a driver.
After loading or unloading goods, empty vehicles registered in the IRI will be allowed to exit the warehouse exclusively accompanied by patrol groups of the RA traffic police.
It should be noted that a day earlier, Armenia closed the communication with Iran two weeks ago.
