ArmInfo. On February 18, the Investigative Committee held a working consultation on criminal cases initiated in connection with the latest tragic incidents in the army with a fatal outcome. The meeting was led head of the General Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Artak Krkyasharyan.
According to the press service of the IC, during the meeting it was instructed to take all necessary measures to ensure the objectivity and multilateralism of the preliminary investigation in criminal cases investigated in fatal cases, during the investigation to ensure the full realization of the rights and interests of all participants in the process. In addition, it was instructed to provide the public with the necessary information about the circumstances of the events and the progress of the investigation, thereby making the process as public as possible, while not violating the legislative requirement for non-disclosure of information constituting the secret of the preliminary investigation.
It was also instructed to develop a concept aimed at increasing the level of public confidence in the preliminary investigation body.
