ArmInfo. The trial in the case of the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharian and others did not take place again, this time due to the lack of an interpreter.
According to Judge Anna Danibekyan, a message was earlier received from translator Tsovinar Torosyan that she would not be able to attend the meeting. For its part, the court was unable to provide an interpreter for a short time. Given that holding a hearing without an interpreter is not possible, the court decided to postpone the hearing until February 25.
We add that earlier court hearings were postponed due to the non-appearance of the lawyers of the accused. Recall that Kocharian is being accused in the case of March 1, 2008. In addition to Kocharian, the status of the accused in the case also includes the former chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, the former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov, the ex-Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and the former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan.
