ArmInfo. The sanitary and epidemiological situation on the borders of Armenia will be monitored by the Labor and Health Inspectorate. The country's parliament at the meeting on December 4 in the second and final reading amended the law "On the state border".
According to the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan, until recently, the sanitary and epidemiological situation at the country's checkpoint was controlled by the Ministry of Health, however, after structural changes, the department no longer carries out supervisory functions. For this reason, it is proposed to transfer these functions to the Labor and Health Inspectorate. The deputy minister emphasized that it is, first and foremost, about ensuring the safety of individuals. She noted that the necessary laboratory equipment at the border is already available.
