ArmInfo.The deputy chief of the Traffic Police of Armenia, Arthur Tonoyan, accused of abuse of power, was arrested. This was reported by the press center of the Special Investigation Service.
According to the investigation, Tonoyan intervened in the tender process for the supply of license plates for police cars, and, in order to promote the monopoly of one of the companies, deliberately prevented its competitor from entering the domestic market.
In the framework of the criminal case, Tonoyan was charged under clause 3 of part 2 of article 195 of the RA Criminal Code and part 1 of article 308 of the RA Criminal Code. As a measure of restraint, arrest was chosen. The investigation continues.
