ArmInfo. Along with the elaboration of the digital agenda, the EAEU begins to switch to the implementation of real projects. This was announced on November 13 at a press conference by the assistant chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Viktor Gridnev.
"Since the establishment of the Union, issues of coordination and approval of regulatory and customs issues have been resolved, and now we come to the logic of implementation of joint projects that will allow us to achieve a completely different level of integration'', he said.
In this regard, Gridnev expressed the hope that the 2020 and 2021 will be the years of the implementation of joint programs. "Such proposals are already being considered by the Commission. We very much hope that they will find their practical implementation and will be effective not only for specific countries, but the Union as a whole,'' he concluded.
To recall, Armenia has been a member of the EAEU since January 2015. Currently, the EAEU members are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Armenia with the EAEU countries in January-September 2019 amounted to $ 1.6 billion with a y-o-y growth of 10.2%. In particular exports increased by 6.4% to $ 532.5 million with an increase in imports by 12.3% amounting to $ 1.1 billion.
