Viktor Gridnev: EAEU switches to the logic of joint projects

ArmInfo. Along with the elaboration of the digital agenda, the EAEU begins to switch to the implementation of real projects. This was announced on November 13 at  a press conference by the assistant chairman of the Eurasian Economic  Commission Board Viktor Gridnev.

"Since the establishment of the Union, issues of coordination and  approval of regulatory and customs issues have been resolved, and now  we come to the logic of implementation of joint projects that will  allow us to achieve a completely different level of integration'', he  said.

In this regard, Gridnev expressed the hope that the 2020 and 2021  will be the years of the implementation of joint programs. "Such  proposals are already being considered by the Commission. We very  much hope that they will find their practical implementation and will  be effective not only for specific countries, but the Union as a  whole,'' he concluded.

To recall, Armenia has been a member of the EAEU since January 2015.  Currently, the EAEU members are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan  and Kyrgyzstan.

According to the RA Statistical Committee, the foreign trade turnover  of the Republic of Armenia with the EAEU countries in  January-September 2019 amounted to $ 1.6 billion with a y-o-y growth  of 10.2%. In particular exports increased by 6.4% to $ 532.5 million  with an increase in imports by 12.3% amounting to $ 1.1 billion.
