ArmInfo. We reject and condemn the statements made by the Turkish side. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Ekaterina Zakharieva announced this on October 28 at a joint press conference with the Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan., referring to a statement by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu regarding the fact that Turkish security forces allegedly detained "terrorists of Armenian nationality in the ranks of the Kurdistan Workers Party."
Mnatsakanyan noted that such statements by the Turkish side are not new for Armenia. "We repeatedly encounter a similar interpretation and position of the Turkish side, only the wording is different. Such statements, as I said, threaten our security. And this is a serious problem," Mnatsakanyan said.
The head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry once again recalled his readiness to normalize relations with the Turkish side without preconditions, however, noting that such statements reflect Armenia's deep-seated fears that Turkey is a danger. "This position of the Turkish side is unacceptable. In addition, we reject and condemn such statements," the Armenian Minister summed up.
It should be reminded that in April 2019, information being disseminated on the creation of an "Armenian battalion" within the Kurdish forces in northern Syria.
