ArmInfo. The working visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, to the USA was carried out on a charter flight through a private company. The press secretary of the Prime Minister Vladimir Karapetyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"In response to numerous media inquiries, I want to inform you that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's working visit to the United States was carried out on a charter flight through a private company. In general, the amount allocated for the visit can reach 165 million drams, and there were several reasons of organizing the charter flight, "he wrote.
In particular, as Karapetyan pointed out, the agenda of the Prime Minister's visit to the United States is very busy. "Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Los Angeles has been prepared for a long time, where the head of government held more than a dozen meetings and events in one day, which the public was duly informed about," he said.
From there, the Prime Minister will again go to San Jose, in Silicon Valley, and again for hours will hold a series of meetings and negotiations with leading high-tech companies. Then the Prime Minister will travel to New York to participate in the meeting of the UN General Assembly. At the UN headquarters, Pashinyan will hold more than a dozen meetings and take part in a number of events.
At the same time, as the Prime Minister's spokesperson noted, the official visit of the Prime Minister of Singapore to Armenia is planned on September 28, and the head of the Armenian government is faced with the task of arriving in Yerevan before that. "Without organizing a special flight, an important working visit of the Prime Minister to the United States with such a busy schedule and short deadlines would not have been possible, especially since the Prime Minister could not but attend the September 21 celebrations in Armenia, including at "Hero of Our Time" award ceremony. From now on, such adjustments will be made in such a way as to facilitate the most efficient organization of the visit of the head of state, "wrote Vladimir Karapetyan.
