ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his wife Anna Hakobyan attended an official reception on behalf of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti at the Los Angeles City Hall.
According to the Prime Minister's press service, Nikol Pashinyan delivered a speech in which, in particular, I expressed my deep gratitude to the mayor of Los Angeles, Mr. Garcetti, for organizing the event and for the opportunity to communicate, member of the Board of Directors Paul Krekoryan, leaders Katherine Berger and Hilde Solis for their valuable contribution to organizing a public event.
He thanked Governor Gavin Newsom for his commitment to developing Armenia-California friendship and partnership. According to him, at the meeting with the governor, a framework agreement on cooperation between Armenia and California will be signed. "Armenia appreciates its relations with the United States, California and the city of Los Angeles. It is one of the few places in the world where we have a large concentration of the intellectual, cultural, religious and financial potential of Armenia. And this largely creates a powerful centrifugal force for 10 million Armenians around the world, "he said.
According to the Prime Minister, today strong ties between the RA and the USA continue to be strengthened thanks to cultural exchanges, joint business activities, which constantly increase the level of mutual trust, mutual support and mutual understanding. "Next year we will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Agreement between the twin cities between Yerevan and Los Angeles, which will be marked by a number of initiatives that will promote cooperation between the two cities. We greatly appreciate the efforts of former mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and current mayor Eric Garcetti to develop this partnership and explore new opportunities for expanding partnerships. During this visit we will take another step towards making our friendship more practical and effective. Tomorrow we have a big business "the symposium in California, after which the ceremony of signing two important agreements aimed at developing our trade and economic ties," Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the authorities of the state of California and the city of Los Angeles for supporting the opening of the monument to the Armenian Genocide in the heart of this great city. "We will move forward in our efforts to deepen the Armenian-California cooperation, and the city of Los Angeles will be in the spotlight for obvious reasons. I am confident that these relations will develop dynamically, including new initiatives and joint efforts," the Prime Minister concluded Minister of Armenia.
