Nikol Pashinyan: In 2018, a new independence referendum was held in  Armenia, in which once again we told <yes> to our independence 

ArmInfo., said  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his speech in Gyumri on the  occasion of the 28th anniversary of Independence of Armenia.

He recalled that on August 23, 1990, a declaration of independence of  Armenia was adopted, which de jure marked the beginning of the path   Armenian people to independence, after the adoption of which the  people of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh faced  great trials.

Pashinyan noted that during the years of independence, Armenia saw  numerous disappointments, migration, economic and political  difficulties, and sad events. of independence. I never doubted it>, - said the head  of government.

 

In this regard, he noted that in April-May 2018, a new independence  referendum was held in Armenia, and the hundreds of thousands of  citizens who took to the streets in the squares in the cities of  Armenia and in the Diaspora did so in order to decisively say their  "yes" independence of the country.

Therefore, today, on September 28, 28, we gathered here to once again  declare that an independent state of Armenia on planet Earth will  exist forever and the Armenian people have enough will, wisdom,  knowledge, talent, determination to bear the responsibility to live  on their shoulders in an independent and happy statehood as a proud  citizen of a free country. Glory to freedom, glory to Armenia, glory  to Artsakh, glory to us and our children, and subsequent generations  who live and will live in a free, strong, unbroken, victorious and  happy Armenia>, the RA Prime Minister concluded.
