ArmInfo. The fight against corruption must be given a new impetus. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on September 20 at a meeting with the participation of heads of law enforcement agencies on the fight against manifestations of corruption.
According to him, quoted by the press service of the RA government, it is extremely important not only to identify previous corruption crimes, but also to fight corruption on a daily basis. "I am convinced that if we are not principled in this matter, corruption, being a phenomenon capable of adapting to new conditions, will demonstrate a slow and creeping return," said the head of government. He emphasized that when it comes to corruption offenses, there is always a reference to past cases of corruption. "But it's just as important to fight corruption in the modern sense of the current public administration system," said Nikol Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for full cooperation of the law enforcement system, in which, according to Nikol Pashinyan, some problems arose. "Of course, the fight against corruption has several important goals for us, and I have already mentioned one of them, which is the preventive goal of preventing the reappearance of corruption in the public administration system of Armenia. The second direction is also very important for redressing damage to the state and people. For About 51 billion drams have already been restored in 4-5 months, which, largely, is a considerable amount, but in fact the information we possess gives us reason to say that much remains to be done here, " Prime Minister enphsized.
The next important sector, he continued, is the need to restore order in the country. "Of course, there will be relevant comments on this, but these actions should not be perceived as a process of repression. This is also very important. The whole process should be organized in such a way that the image of a democratic, law-governed state not only does not suffer, but every such action, every a step in this direction would contribute to improving this image of our country, "the head of government conclude .
