ArmInfo. Every person who resigns from the public service has the right to express his own personal point of view. This was announced on September 16 in Vanadzor by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, answering the question about today's statement by the now former head of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, Artur Vanetsyan, who in fact accused the authorities of sweeping actions and the absence of differences between the primary and secondary.
Earlier today, the former head of the NSS announced his decision to submit a statement on the dismissal as the head of the NSS of Armenia. "I consider this decision in the current situation and in the context of upcoming events to be the most preferable and most justified option," said Vanetsyan, quoted by the NSS press service. He noted that he made this decision so confidently, as decided to head the National Security Service. Vanetsyan noted that his activity for 1.5 years has always been in full view and completely dedicated to serving the homeland. "State building has its own logic. Spontaneous decisions, sweeping actions, and the absence of differences between the primary and secondary are not the path that leads to the achievement of goals. This has nothing to do with the honor of the officer, his epaulettes and such a course of events are incompatible. I hope my resign will be a sobering step: "Stop." In all other cases, duty to the motherland will prevail, "Vanetsyan wrote. He wished the country peace and security.
Meanwhile, as the Prime Minister said today, he is not familiar with this statement by Vanetsyan. "I'll get acquainted and tell you my answer," the head of government noted, adding that there are several candidates for the post of head of the NSS, with whom relevant discussions will be held. Nikol Pashinyan at a September 16 press conference said that he had signed a resignation order to dismiss Arthur Vanetsyan from the post of director of the NSS. The corresponding decree, he said, will be published within one to two days.
