Mnatsakanyan: None state can stand alone against global and  transnational challenges facing humanity

ArmInfo. None state can stand alone against global and transnational challenges facing humanity. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mntsakanyan stated on August 27  at the annual meeting of the heads of the central apparatus and bodies of the foreign diplomatic service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs  of Armenia.

According to the Armenian minister, efficient multilateralism forms  action-oriented solidarity between large and small states and is a  guarantee of international security, peace and development. "Based on  this, Armenia is more than determined to continue proactive, active  and effective multilateral diplomacy. We intend to strengthen our  involvement in the international agenda, including in such areas as  international security, sustainable development, human rights,  tolerance, anti-discrimination, cultural and scientific education,  climate change, migration, refugees, etc. Armenia will continue its  active and comprehensive presence in all international and regional  organizations, including the UN, OSCE, Co Europe, the CIS, the  International Organization of Francophonie and others. To this end,  Armenia will continue to make its important contribution to the  agenda of international security and peace. Our partners highly value  the participation of Armenia in peacekeeping missions in different  parts of the world, in particular in Lebanon, Kosovo, Afghanistan and  Mali. We are ready to maintain and expand our participation. Armenia  provides humanitarian assistance to the population affected by  conflicts or mass atrocities, "Mnatsakanyan said.

At the same time, he added that the fight against terrorism,  cybercrime, drug trafficking and other transnational crimes are other  important areas of international security in which Armenia  participates together with international partners, primarily using  platforms such as the UN, OSCE and CSTO .

At the same time, Mnatsakanyan emphasized that the sustainable  development agenda is an important part of Armenia's international  cooperation. "We will continue to actively participate in  international development initiatives and programs, including within  the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Using  the best international practices, resources and localization in our  national programs is the main goal of our sustainable development.  These approaches are fully reflected in our work within the UN,  including our current membership in the Economic and Social Council,  "the minister said, adding that the agenda for intellectual  development, including digitally nation, innovative science, is one  of the priorities of the thematic approaches of the foreign policy of  Armenia.

From this point of view, Mnatsakanyan attached great importance to  expanding cooperation platforms, both in bilateral and international  formats, such as the World Congress of Information Technologies,  which will be held in Yerevan this year.

At the same time, he announced Armenia's readiness to share with  international partners and already offers its experience in  intellectual and innovative development, which is best expressed in  the intellectual centers of creative education TUMO and COAF,  laboratories Root Engineering, Dasaran.am and many others.

He also touched upon the activities of Armenia in the field of human  rights and fundamental freedoms, the protection of the rights of  women and children, recalled efforts in the international arena aimed  at preventing new crimes against humanity, cooperation in the  framework of UNESCO, the Council of Europe and the CIS to strengthen  the values of tolerance through cultural, scientific, educational and  civilizational agendas.

CoE and CIS to strengthen the values of tolerance through the  cultural, scientific, educational and civilizational agendas.

It is widely stated that foreign policy is a continuation of domestic  policy, Mnatsakanyan continued, adding that foreign policy is more  efficentand self-confident when it serves a free and creative  citizen, a solidary society and is based on a single domestic policy.  "From this point of view, I must state that today the most favorable  internal situation has developed in Armenia for foreign policy. At  the same time, the main duty of Armenian diplomacy is to serve  international cooperation both at bilateral and multilateral  platforms, for implementation of our national aspirations and goals,  in particular for the implementation of the security agenda, reforms  and development of Armenia, "the minister said, noting that  multi-level reforms in Armenia are aimed at strengthening democratic  institutions, the rule of law and human rights.

He assured that the core of government reforms is a citizen of  Armenia, who should maximize the benefits of good governance.

In this regard, he touched on the reform of the judicial system of  the country, noting that this is a priority for today. "We will  continue to actively establish partnerships with a number of  stakeholders, including the EU and the Council of Europe. Our most  important function has been and remains the formation of a foreign  policy environment conducive to socio-economic development and the  implementation of the economic revolution," the Armenian diplomat  added. At the same time, Mnatsakanyan stated that the entry of  Armenian companies into new markets, attraction of investments and  new technologies in Armenia, joint development programs are priority  issues, to which Armenian diplomacy should make a significant  contribution. "In this regard, our priority is to create joint  platforms and provide opportunities for players working under a  direct development program, including business and scientific  circles, to take full advantage of cooperation opportunities with  international partners. Problems in the field of energy and transport  security require new efforts to diversification and development of  the infrastructure sector, and here we also play an important role in  the formation and development of international cooperation, "he said,  adding that the challenges the countries facing the country are  clear, but the political will of the authorities to overcome them is  extremely clear. Mnatsakanyan stated that the Armenian government has  an ambitious vision of the development of the republic. "The  transformation strategy of Armenia is the product of a bold idea that  everyone who serves their people and homeland, including the  diplomatic corps of Armenia, must adhere to. Our overall success will  depend on the degree and consistency, initiative and dedication of  each of you. And the success of the Foreign Ministry system is  security, development and a worthy place of Armenia in the  international arena, therefore I will demand from you skills,  abilities, dedication, professionalism with serious practical results  for the benefit of our people and our state twenties, "the Armenian  Foreign Minister summed up.
