ArmInfo. On August 13, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic Bedrich Kopecky.
During the meeting the issue of cooperation between the two countries from higher education, general education and science to culture and sports were discussed.
The issues related to the agreement "On cooperation in the field of education and science between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic"also were discussed.
The Minister also attached great importance to the creation of formats for cooperation in the field of science and technology and cooperation with relevant Czech institutions in the field of science and technology.
The parties also discussed the possibility of implementing joint programs in the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) with the participation of leading Armenian research organizations, emphasizing that the Armenian-Czech cooperation in these areas has broad prospects. Arayik Harutyunyan expressed readiness to share the experience of cultural and technological education of Armenian schools. Ambassador Bedrich Kopecky expressed interest in teaching "chess" as the school subject of in Armenian schools and applying this experience in the Czech Republic
