ArmInfo. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky intends to replace the ambassadors of Ukraine in 12 countries, including Armenia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Argentina,
USA and other countries. At the same time - except for the United States - other countries of the G7 were not included on the list, although the government plans to replace ambassadors in those countries as well. The reason is personnel shortage. LB.ua learned this from its own sources in diplomatic circles. "In connection with the new stage in the political life of Ukraine after the elections, Zelensky wants to change ambassadors, first of all, in the G7 countries. But the problem is that there are no candidates to replace them. Therefore, there are no G7 countries in the current list (except for the US). Vatican, Switzerland, Argentina, Vietnam, Jordan, Armenia, Cyprus, Uzbekistan, South Africa, and other countries are on the list, "the source said.
According to LB.ua, the list was initiated by Deputy Chief of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Vadim Pristaiko. Many of those whom he proposes to withdraw, have been performing the duties for many years. Ambassadors who are subject to rotation will be notified by the end of the day, July 16.
