ArmInfo. "I do not have warm feelings for Judges of the Constitutional Court, but I do not want various processes to be carried out through political pressure in our country. The MP from the "Prosperous Armenia" party Naira Zohrabyan stated this on July 15 in an interview with journalists.
The MP noted that there are interested persons in the country who are trying to transfer the judicial authority under the control of Nikol Pashinyan.
She noted that she had not heard that the head of the government had ever declared this and wished to dominate it, but at the same time she also did not see any concrete steps on the part of the government that would demonstrate the authorities' readiness to create an independent judicial system. The lawmaker also touched upon the statements of representatives of the ruling "My Step" faction that the Constitutional Court is illegitimate due to the fact that members of the Constitutional Court are not judges due to changes in the wording during the constitutional reform. Previously, they were elected as members of the Constitutional Court, and now as judges of the Constitutional Court. "I would not say that I have warm feelings for representatives of the Constitutional Court, especially since our positions often did not coincide with some of its representatives, however, I don't want various processes in our country to be carried out through political pressure," the MP concluded.
