ArmInfo. In Armenia, the minimum wage will be raised to 68 thousand AMD. The corresponding draft law was approved at the June 27 meeting of the RA government.
According to the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Gemafin Gasparyan, the lawmakers of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia proposed raising the minimum wage from the current 55 thousand to 63 thousand drams. “However, we propose raising the minimum wage to 68 thousand drams,” the Deputy Minister said.
He added that the calculations were made taking into account the indicators of the minimum consumer basket. It is envisaged that the new minimum wage will affect 45 thousand people in the private sector and 35 thousand in the public sector.
