ArmInfo. Georgian police released from custody the driver, detained at the Lars checkpoint on suspicion of drug trafficking. This is stated in a statement released by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia.
The statement, in particular, states: “We want to inform you that in the framework of this case one of the passengers of the bus was detained, and charge has already been pressed against him. The Armenian Embassy in Georgia maintains constant contact with the Georgian authorities and will make an additional statement on the above-mentioned case.”
To note, earlier it became known about the detention of the passenger bus of ''Avazar Bus'' company, which left Moscow on June 22. It crossed the Russian border, but the Georgian border guards stopped it, since they had discovered the prohibited goods. It turned out to be a hoverboard, in which they found about half a kilo of drugs.
