According to the source, during the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues relating to Armenian- American cooperation, and stressed the mutual readiness to expand and enrich the multi-faceted agenda of bilateral relations.
Touching upon the first session of the Armenian-American strategic dialogue held in Yerevan in May of this year, the Armenian Foreign Minister welcomed the holding of such a format and confirmed the readiness of the Armenian side to fulfill its obligations. According to the minister, the Armenian-American strategic dialogue, which includes many areas of cooperation - scientific, educational, energy, trade, economic, scientific and innovation, tourism, contributes to the implementation of the reforms initiated in the country.
Minister Mnatsakanyan presented the agenda of reforms in Armenia, highlighting the changes in the judicial, legal and law enforcement spheres. In the reform process, Mnatsakanyan emphasized the importance of assisting international partners.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged thoughts on a number of international and regional issues. In the context of the upcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan on June 20, the interlocutors referred to the efforts being made towards a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the leadership of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
