ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan does not share the approaches of "Prosperous Armenia" on the need to transfer the State Control Service and the Chamber of Auditors to the jurisdiction of the opposition.
"It even sounds ridiculous. It's impossible to transfer the Audit Chamber to the opposition, if only because this structure is independent and apolitical. If you follow this logic, you can then insist that the advisers- assistants to the Prime Minister were opposition representatives from different political parties." - declared Pashinyan.
He also noted that, as an oppositionist, he did not advocate the expansion of the control powers of the opposition, because he believed that it had all the necessary levers. The prime minister noted that the parliamentarians have a whole range of control levers, which they do not use, and for the beginning, the deputies should fully cover the whole range of their powers. "I believe that having such opportunities, the opposition becomes conformist and ceases to fulfill its direct fiction, and this cannot be allowed," the prime minister concluded.
