ArmInfo. RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Suren Papikyan was elected Chairman of the Board of the "Civil Contract" ruling party in Armenia. During the yesterday's meeting, three candidates were nominated for the chair - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Speaker of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan and Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Suren Papikyan. Pashinyan and Mirzoyan recused themselves. Suren Papikyan was elected by an open voting as chairman of the board.
The powers of the former chairman of the Sasun Michaelian party were suspended when he headed the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union.
The Civil Contract Party has 21 members, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Parliament Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Suren Papikyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan and others.
A new composition of the control committee was also elected. The latter included Aramais Grigoryan Garik Sargsyan, Eduard Avetisyan, Anushik Davtyan, Sona Ghazaryan, Sargis Aleksanyan, Karo Ghukasyan.
