ArmInfo. In Yerevan, the Court of Appeal began a meeting on the suit of the General Prosecutor's Office to revise the decision of the court of general jurisdiction to change the measure of restraint against the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan from arrest to release on personal bail.
Kocharyan and Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan are present at the court hearing. In front of the courthouse an action of supporters of the second president is being held.
It should be noted that Kocharyan, accused of overthrowing the constitutional system in the framework of the March 1, 2008 case, was released by decision of the court of general jurisdiction under the personal guarantee of the former and current Presidents of Artsakh Arkady Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan. The Prosecutor General's Office appealed this decision to the Court of Appeal.
