ArmInfo. Over the past year, the new authorities of Armenia managed to ensure the stability and natural development of democracy. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said yesterday during the meeting with the ambassadors of foreign states and international structures accredited to Armenia.
As the press service of the government informs according to him, extraordinary parliamentary elections were held in the country, which were evaluated by the international community as free, democratic and transparent. "This is a very important assessment for us. This has never happened in our country, at least in terms of parliamentary elections. I myself hoped that the number of political forces represented in parliament would be more, but people voted as they wished, and I think that the necessary political palette is represented in parliament today. We consider that our greatest political achievement was that we managed to hold free, fair and democratic elections. Earlier, being an opposition politician, in my speeches and articles I have repeatedly pointed out that the greatest mission of a democratic government is not only holding free and fair elections, but also leaving power after free and fair elections. And I think that we will not deviate from this vision, since in the past I personally considered this vision to be my most important political mission. How long it will continue will become clear from the results of political processes and the decisions of the people, "said Nikol Pashinyan.
