ArmInfo. For the third day in a row, anti-Armenian protests have been being held by the Turks of Lebanon in Beirut.
Turks continue to be indignant at the fact that on April 24, during the events dedicated to the 104th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Turkish flag was burned.
The protesters appealed to the Armenians living in Beirut, demanding to stop the "anti-Turkish propaganda".
Meanwhile, representatives of the Armenian community of Beirut told ArmInfo that the situation took such a turn due to the fact that one of the young people who burned the Turkish flag is the son of Lebanese Tourism Minister Avetis Kitanyan.
As ArmInfo previously reported, Turkish ambassador to Lebanon, Hakan Cak?l, days earlier demanded that the country's authorities bring to justice the participants in the "anti-Turkish actions" organized on April 24. Moreover, in this regard, the head of the Turkish diplomatic mission sent a message to the Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri.
In addition, the ambassador stressed the need for urgent legal measures against the organizers and participants of "provoking and suppressing in the future manifestations of disrespect for the Turkish flag."
