ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister did not rule out the possibility of holding a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in Washington.
Thus, in an interview with the First Informational Channel, Mnatsakanyan, referring to the statement made earlier by Mammadyarov about the upcoming meeting in Washington, stated that based on the fact that previous meetings were in Paris and Moscow, it is possible that the future one will be held in the US capital.
"We are ready for this meeting. There must be the next stage! As soon as our American partners specify the invitation, then we will be able to speak on this topic," said Mnatsakanyan. Touching upon the meeting held in Moscow on April 15 and the statements that followed after by the foreign ministers of Russia and Azerbaijan that the meeting discussed proposals of 2016 for resolving the problem, Mnatsakanyan assured that all details about the meeting were voiced in a joint statement made by its results, and he sees no need to add anything to the statement.
He also did not comment on why his colleagues from Russia and Azerbaijan subsequently came up with additional explanations, saying that he would not like to overstep the limits of correctness on this issue. Mnatsakanyan also once again assured that not a single document was discussed at the Moscow meeting, adding that there is, of course, a temptation to go further and talk about what was said by his Azerbaijani counterpart.
