ArmInfo. Armenia and Bulgaria held inter-MFA political consultations. As the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia told ArmInfo, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avet Adonts headed the consultations from the Armenian side, the Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Sterk from the Bulgarian side.
During the consultations, a wide range of issues related to the development of Armenian-Bulgarian relations was discussed. The interlocutors touched upon the intensification of inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as issues of the trade, economic, scientific, cultural and legal fields. The parties also discussed the Armenia-EU relations, as well as the interaction of the RA and Bulgaria in the framework of the Eastern Partnership and at international platforms. The interlocutors expressed mutual satisfaction with the agreements that were reached at the 8th Armenian- Bulgarian trade, economic and scientific-technical inter-parliamentary meeting held in Yerevan on March 12-13, and the business forum held on its margins. The importance of consistent steps to translate these agreements into reality was emphasized. Adonts expressed his gratitude to the Bulgarian Embassy for the initiatives to implement projects to promote the activities of the RA Ombudsman in protecting consumer rights and reforming the system for caring for children with disabilities and introducing the Bulgarian experience in this field.
