ArmInfo. On April 23, RA  Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren Papikyan  received a delegation from the Swedish city of Sodertalje headed by  Mayor Boel Cecilia Gondar.

According to the press service of the  Ministry, Suren Papikyan, welcoming the guests, thanked the Swedish  Parliament and Sodertalje City Council for their contribution to the  recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and the  organization of annual events commemorating the victims of the  Armenian Genocide. In the context of sustainable development of the  Armenian-Swedish intergovernmental relations, the Minister considered  important interregional and intercommunal cooperation and the  development of new horizons of partnership between the two countries.

Mayor Sodertalje Boel Cecilia Gonder, in turn, thanked for the  reception and noted that systemic changes and development trendsThe  countries that have been established in Armenia since the beginning  of last year provide an excellent opportunity for the further  development of Armenian-Swedish bilateral relations.Suren Papikyan,  expressing gratitude to the local authorities for the special  attention and care shown to the Armenian community in the field of  education, stressed that it is extremely important for people who  have survived the genocide to have the opportunity to learn their  native language and culture.
