ArmInfo. Official Yerevan responded to the statement by the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov that the proposals put forward by Russia in 2016 were discussed at the Moscow meeting of the foreign ministers of  Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, with the participation of the  Russian foreign minister.

Armenian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan reminded that  the agenda of the meeting was published in a joint statement by the  foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia, as well as by  the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group immediately after the meeting.  "Joint statements are made precisely with the aim of summarizing all  the agreed language of the meeting. Conflicting statements made out  of agreed language do not contribute to strengthening mutual trust,  especially if they are fictitious and do not correspond to reality.  -or program. Currently, negotiations are not conducted around any  program.  Moreover, the substantive part of the negotiations takes  place in the plane of familiarization with each other's positions,  their clarification and concretization, "the official representative  of the Armenian Foreign Ministry emphasized.

She also did not confirm or deny the information that the next  meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan can take  place in Washington, as Mammadyarov said today. Naghdalyan reminded  that the date and place of the meeting are announced in a consistent  manner by both parties at the same time.  "Indeed, the possibility of  holding the next meeting in one of the OSCE MG co-chairing countries  is being considered, taking into account the geography of previous  such meetings. But since this question is still at the stage of  discussion, it is necessary to refrain from the practice of  unilateral statements. Moreover, the absentee announcement of the  venue of a meeting in one of the OSCE MG countries is a disrespectful  attitude towards the participants of the process and, above all,  towards this mediator.

It is noteworthy that yesterday Russian Foreign Minister Sergey  Lavrov did not refute Mammadyarov's statement that the Moscow meeting  discussed proposals put forward in 2016.  Meanwhile, recently the  Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said that he starts the  Karabakh talks from zero point, and not from the place he inherited  from the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.
