ArmInfo. Valery Sadokho, Director of the National Center for Marketing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, during a meeting with Armenian Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus Armen Ghevondyan told about the possibilities of the center he heads, as well as the specifics of the work.
As reported to ArmInfo in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, Sadokho stated that there is significant potential for the development of Armenian-Belarusian trade and economic relations. In this context, the importance of intensive contacts between business representatives of the two countries was emphasized.
Expressing gratitude for the special issue of the "Market environment" magazine dedicated to Armenia, Ghevondian pointed out the role of similar projects in the development and expansion of the trade and economic agenda between the two countries.
At the meeting, the sides discussed prospects and possible formats of cooperation between the embassy and the center, which in turn will allow developing business contacts, will contribute to an increase in national export volumes and a variety of products.
To note, according to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Belarus in 2018 was $ 50.3 million with y-o-y growth of 9.1%. At the same time, exports accounted for $ 11.7 million, y-o- y of 66.5%, and imports - $ 38.6 million, a decline of 1.2%.
