On April 11, Armenian Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchyan met with the head of the Polish-Armenian parliamentary friendship group of the Polish parliament (Senate and Sejm), several members and the secretary of the group.According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, Wozniak confirmed the willingness and commitment of the Polish side to further develop and deepen the existing friendly relations between the two countries.
In turn, Samvel Mkrtchyan emphasized the further expansion of parliamentary cooperation between Armenia and Poland and the mutual use of the possibilities of parliamentary diplomacy. He informed the Polish side about the newly created parliamentary friendship group Armenia-Poland in the National Assembly of Armenia.During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the need to take steps for the development of trade, economic, tourism, educational, cultural and bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The parties also touched upon issues of reciprocal visits from both government representatives and legislative representatives.Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchyan answered the questions of the Polish parliamentarians regarding the reform program of the new authorities of Armenia, the creation and strengthening of democratic institutions.
