ArmInfo.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed the candidacy of First Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia Garegin Baghramyan to the position of Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC).
Garegin Baghramyan, who previously headed the PSRC Tariff Policy Department, was appointed Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia on October 4, 2018. Already after the government decided to reduce this ministry as part of the optimization of the state apparatus, on January 22, this year Bagramyan was appointed the first deputy minister of energy infrastructures and natural resources of the republic. Garegin Baghramyan is a follow-up to the director of the National Security Service Arthur Vanetsyan.
In the National Assembly, voting on the candidacy will take place during the next four-day sittings. Former Head of PSRC Robert Nazaryan (headed the Commission already since 2003) resigned as head of PSRC in July 2018.
